As of this yesterday I made my decision to make this trip down the Missouri River. How did this trip come about? A few weeks ago my wife was doing a crossword puzzle and asked me where the Missouri headwater where? I told her Montana.
Flying back from Philadelphia it dawned on me that I could paddle down the Missouri, all 2300+ miles. This started a flurry of research and reading. I found the Missouri River Paddlers Facebook group and discovered the book The Complete Paddler.
Now I am in hyperdrive starting my preparations to paddle the Missouri River starting this next spring sometime in May. You can read about my reason for this trip here.
